Ladies only look their best for 2 hours a day
Women look their best for just two hours and 22 minutes on an average working day.
According to a new survey, all the time spent in front of the mirror perfecting our daily hair do and made up face is redundant after 10:13am each day and nearly 75% of women saying their look goes 'dramatically downhill' as the day goes on.
The Imperial Leather SkinKind research reveals that this is the point when a women's profession, polished look turns into smudged lipstick, smudged eye makeup and messy hair, making many women turn to their handbag to freshen up with a quick sweep of the hair brush or a lippy or concealer touch up to regain their original look.
It suggests that there will be a crowd of women round the mirrors at 11:44, as this is when we need to re-apply our face or re-style our hairm, just in time for lunchtime.
Furthermore, it also found that the average woman spends 38minutes getting ready in the morning and leaves the house at 7:40 looking as perfect as possible.
Spokeswoman Rebecca Wilson said: ''The majority of women take time in the mornings to look the best they possibly can.
"After a particularly long day at the office, 43% of ladies polled said they felt they looked like a different woman."
''They want to look smart and professional, plus it boosts confidence to look good.
''But it seems that a stressful commute combined with a couple of killer hours in the office leaves their appearance less than perfect.
''Consequently, most women struggle to get to the end of the working day looking like they did first thing in the morning.''
Findings show that the average woman will spend 10 minutes in the shower, 11 minutes drying and styling their hair, eight minutes applying their makeup and nine minutes deciding an outfit to wear for the day.
After a particularly long day at the office, 43% of ladies polled said they felt they looked like a different woman.
As depressing as it may sound, some women said they felt that their look took a nose dive after just an hour at the office and others admitted that when they reapplied their makeup they felt much better for the rest of the day.
36% said that by mid afternoon they had given up on their look, despite nearly half of male colleagues polled saying female workers look great all day.
